Prayer Shawl Ministry Annual Report 2018

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawls and Prayer Lap Rugs are prayerfully knitted or crocheted by various members of
our congregation. They are then blessed and made available to be dispersed. Any one can take
a shawl to give to a person they feel is in need of being wrapped in prayer.
There are many reasons for this need. It could be a death in the family, an illness, an
employment or family crisis or a happy occasion such as the birth of a child. You are free to
determine who will benefit by having a shawl.
The finished shawls are kept in the Gathering Room. We do ask that when you take one, you
sign it out in the notebook as to the person receiving the prayers and blessings from this
ministry at St. Edward’s Church.
There are some shawls available for use by the congregation during services. These are on a
rack at the rear of the Nave and should be returned after the service.
